About me...

I find it to be one of the most satisfying experiences to help couples get reconnected.  It is easy to relate to the painful feelings that couples feel because we have all experienced pain in relationships.  To see couples relational patterns change as they feel safer and more in love with each other is why I do this work - it is very touching.

I have been working as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2011 and have worked in the field of mental health since the 1990's.  I got my masters in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2013 with a focus in Somatic Psychotherapy.  I became Certified in Emotionally Focussed Therapy for couples because it is the approach that has the best outcomes in clinical studies - couples reliably get better!

My style is informal with an emphasis on meeting each person where they are with authentic care and understanding.  I know that we are all doing the best we can even if we have made mistakes and caused others pain in the process.  Although the heart of the work I do with couples is to create emotional repair and safety, the process I use is systematic and focussed.  I value the commitment of money and time that each couple makes in order to do therapy, and I, in turn, am committed to making sure that they see results from our work together.
